i’ve always had a strong inclination towards creating beauty.

but also. there are so many ugly things in the world - and art is there - to talk about all the things. there are pieces in body of work that begin to deal with some of that - in a way that still feels beautiful to me.

how does one disagree respectfully? how do you break through? how do you un.silence your own self? how do you say the things to the people you need to, but who don’t want to hear them? in a way that brings you closer to the people you need and want to be closer to? in a way that invites conversation and consideration and curiosity about the other person’s perspective? just asking for a friend. or maybe for the whole world.

the 6” x 6” painting is 100% archival: watercolor, gold and india inks on 100% cotton 140lb. watercolor paper, mounted on a cradled wood panel, sealed with wax medium for water resistance and easy cleaning. it can hang as is, or you can purchase a floater frame to amp up the formality.

all purchased artwork will hang at city o’ city in denver through the end of august, 2024. it will be delivered to new forever homes in the month of september.
